International Staff
We are a Global Community
Summer staff from around the world
At Lutherdale, we deeply value diversity and the global community, which is why hiring international staff is so important to us. Your unique culture and experiences help create a more inclusive environment where campers can learn about different perspectives and traditions. By joining our team, you'll play a key role in enriching the camp experience and helping us build a stronger, more globally aware community.

We create new experiences
Time off to explore and create memories
Every summer our staff take trips to Chicago and other large cities. Although Lutherdale is not in a big city itself, we value creating opportunities for staff to experience American culture. Previous trips have been to baseball games, big cities, music festivals, theme parks, and more.
We want you to grow here.
Skill development is a priority.
Working at Lutherdale offers international staff a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills that will benefit you in both your personal and professional life. As a part of our team, you'll enhance your leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities while working with campers and staff from different backgrounds. You'll gain hands-on experience in teamwork, conflict resolution, and adaptability, all within a supportive and dynamic environment. These skills are not only essential for success in any future career but also contribute to personal growth and confidence in navigating new challenges.
Hired? Here's what you need to know...
We are so excited that you chose us for your international experience this summer!
This page will give you the basic information that you will need in preparation for your arrival.
We're here to help!
We know that arriving and working here will be more complicated than for our domestic staff. If you have questions, please ask as soon as they come up.
ARRIVAL
Please schedule your arrival for sometime May 26 through May 29 to give time to move into camp before the first day of training
A member of the Lutherdale staff will pick you up from the airport; flying into Milwaukee Mitchell International (MKE) is ideal.
Chicago O'hare International (ORD) or Midway International (MDW) are alternatives if you cannot find a suitable flight into MKE. We strongly recommend that you contact us before finalizing flights.
PAPERWORK
Some forms in your CAMPWISE account will be replaced by those from the recruitment system you used to apply (e.g. Camp America, IENA), and you will not need to fill out the CAMPWISE version.
